Salty Roots has been officially doing work Salt Spring land since 2024.

Salty Roots started as a side gig to just get my hands dirty again. It has now become much larger and focused.

I am Candace Parks is the owner operator of Salty Roots.

You will see me on most jobs! I have a crew that works with me on most projects, especially the larger jobs.

I came to Salty Spring looking to connect with the nature and the land (and people too, sometimes). I never expected to be transforming landscapes and gardens all around the island, but the island asked and Salty Roots heard that call.

Salt Spring island has a very interesting level of biodiversity and climate. A one stop solution is usually NOT the solution. Each area of the island differs in soil, terrain, plant species, and even client needs (sometimes even within blocks of clients). Each job is looked at as a new challenge and a new puzzle to unpack. What was easy on your friend or family's land, may be a challenge on yours, or visa versa.
